Why the Arc A770?

The Arc A770 — especially 16 GB — is leftover Alchemist value. XeSS and AV1 encode are the extras; raster depends on the title. Only a good 2026 buy at a real discount versus B580 / 4060 / 7600.

What to pair it with

Look for builds that give the Arc A770 enough CPU headroom — a 12th-gen or newer Intel CPU, or a recent AMD platform with ReBAR is a solid target. 16 GB of RAM keeps modern games and background apps comfortable, and a 650 W 80+ PSU keeps the 8 GB or 16 GB GDDR6 / 225 W card stable. A 1 TB or larger NVMe SSD is the practical storage baseline.

Arc A770 vs alternatives

B580 is the newer Intel pick. RTX 3060 12 GB / 4060 and RX 6600/7600 are the usual alternatives. Prefer 16 GB A770 over 8 GB when both appear.
